Avoid at all cost, better Health Companies out there!!

My Company decided to give it a go and enroll this year with Vitality, for the past 15 years we used mainly Axa ppp and other providers such Bupa. These big companies are expensive however they take the stress away in terms of approving claims or consultations. Never had problems in the past. Unfortunately for me Vitality so far only offered a poor service. As other reviewers mentioned the amount informations requested plus involving GP on obtain records only elongate the process; reason why people use Private health insurance is to actually avoid these long wait to see a GP and been referred as soon as possible.Just so you know if you ask your Gp to fill up the records forms it will take up to 4 weeks and also you have to pay a fee to your surgery. So you might be quicker booking an appointment with your Gp than fill these forms !!! The frustrating part is the fact we took the full package from vitality and covering also existing condition however at the time of the switch you must forecast if you might have present conditions that might develop into something that requires additional consultations, basically they will do everything in their power to avoid claims!! So to everyone thinking to switch to Vitality ]bear in mind that you might encounter issue when making a claim. By the way my referral was approved by Vitality online GP and still wants more informations by my Gp, Definitely no worth the stress on taking a cheaper Company which only interest is on saving money. I have waited 9mths and my claim hasnt even been processed yet

I logged a call for a back injury back in August 2021, it is now April 2022, they still havnet processed the claim for approval! my status says still awaiting pre approval form from my GP who has sent it in 3 times. also I go to the gym 3-4 time a week, form 30min hiit classes plus 1hr of weights and hike 12km most weekends. I still have a bronze status and dont even qualify for a free coffee! i cannot get through to anyone, the call wait is 31 members in the queue, no response to 5 emails and the only time i did get through on the phone, the phone call cut out and nobody called back. this company needs investigation Reviewed on: 6th April 2022

I would provide a rating of 0 if I could. This has to be the worst customer experience in my entire life. They are almost designed to make sure people do not ask for help. What an amazing business model for a medical insurance company! Reviewed on: 21st March 2022

Absolutely useless

MIght as well stick to your GP or A&E. Their process takes forever, no-one is available quickly to authorise any care. Avoid at all cost. I've been with them for 2 years and my attempt to claim has been an awful experience. Reviewed on: 16th March 2022

8 weeks on since my initial consultation with a Vitality GP I am still waiting on a referral, enduring one of the most complicated claims processes I can ever recall. The NHS would have seen me within 2 weeks. You simply cannot rely on these people when you need them. Reviewed on: 7th March 2022

No response to calls or emails

Do not touch this company for anything health related, the customer service is the worst I have ever known, 3 call, 20 minute + wait no answer, 4 complaint emails with no response over a 2 week period. The online portal states someone will respond within 72 hours……. Still waiting 2 weeks later. They are a complete waste of time. Reviewed on: 17th February 2022

Waste of money

So many bells and whistles you would be right in thinking this company doesnt know what it is... tried to get some physio help and one would think this is a fairly standard process but it is certainly not! The one hand doesnt know what the other is doing... It is very difficult to get hold of someone and I certainly do regret not going to BUPA or one of the better known companies. appalling customer service - waiting 90mins plus to answer phone. I've waited over 3 wks and missed an appointment as they never dealt with claim - had an ear infection...still waiting weeks later for authorisation for treatment - DO NOT TOUCH THEM Reviewed on: 5th February 2022

Don't waste your money

They do everything they can to make it difficult to impossible to claim. Even a signed and completed form from the GP isn't good enough. 30+ people in the queue when you try to contact them. Avoid at all costs! Reviewed on: 31st January 2022
