Review of the Yorkshire Bank, Current Account:

Going down fast

I have banked with Yorkshire Bank for over 40 years. They have now decided they do not want my business and moved my account to Virgin Money. No reasoning has been given. Their Customer Services used to be OK, if sometimes a little hard to understand with the Scottish accents. They closed my local branch and told me to use another, then closed this and told me to use a 3rd, then just closed this one without telling me! My current and credit card accounts were visible together on the website and app, I now have to have 2 different apps, with different log in details, to see what is happening. I used to ping money direct from my current account to my credit card, I now have to set it up as a separate payee. I seriously doubt this bank will be around much longer. Decline

Yorkshire Bank used to be an excellent Bank but in recent years they have changed and I now no longer consider them to be one of the best current account providers! Whilst things are reasonable they do not provide the top customer service they used to do. The personal aspect has gone and you are now just considered as another number!!! The Best Bank Ever

I have banked with them for 28 years and can say in all honesty they are the best bank you can use. Staff go that extra mile to help you, they have a wide range of products to suit you. Internet banking is easy and you can do everything on line. I have 1 current account and 3 savings accounts with them and have just got a Gold Master card with them. Wouldn't bank anywhere else. Fine for my purposes

I would like to have direct phone contact with my local branch. Unfortunately you have to go through a long rigmarole with 'head office' and asking for the impossible a better rate of interest Reviewed on: 13th September 2017

Amazing customer service

I have had my current account with yorkshire bank for May years now and couldn't be happier with it. I primarily do all of my bank related tasks via their banking app which is straightforward and easy to use. On the rare occasion I do have to visit my local branch I am always treated like a valued customer and any issues or questions I have are resolved quickly and properly. Perfect

I have used Yorkshire bank for over 40 years, Never had any problems with them. I mainly only use their online services, Like most banks my local branch is always busy & under staffed. Their fraud security dept are on the ball & quickly noticed & stopped a fraudulant transaction. Reviewed on: 25th July 2017
