Great Rates with Zopa

I took out a loan with Zopa to pay for my car, it was the lowest interest on the internet and was easy and quick to apply. They also offer a service in which you can get the money earlier if you need it, which was great for me as I needed to buy the car.

When Zopa first started, I wondered why Zopa would make a better job of credit assessing borrowers than banks would. So I just watched it for 6 months. Then I got stuck in. So I was in it right through the crash and I'm still a fan.

Back in the day it was a more complicated and risky proposition than it is now, so my toppest tip is that if you looked at it a few years ago and decided it wasn't for you, it is definitely worth having another look.

Now there are 3 levels of risk/return levels you can choose. The lowest return offers no charge for immediate withdrawal and a fund to protect you against bad debts. The intermediate level will charge 1% for immediate withdrawal, but a fund to protect against bad debts. The highest return (and living dangerously, that's where I've got most of my money) will charge for early withdrawal and has no bad debt fund). Returns vary, so I'm not going to quote them, just have a look yourself.

We've got spare cash from our family business in there as well and the one complaint I've got is that getting a letter out of Zopa confirming balances for the auditor is harder than it should be. First World Problems eh?

Quick, efficient, great rate and simple.

I needed a new car so I went straight to Zopa. Got my 'rate' within a few minutes, told my monthly repayments (offered different periods so I could choose what suited me). Within minutes finished applying, was informed very quickly and I had the money within...
