Insurance Without a Fuss!

Considering how onerous finding and then joining insurance companies can be, this was a walk in the park! I was happy to find that the quote I got through a price comparison website is exactly what I ended up paying. (It has not always worked out this way, believe you me.) When I elected to insure with 1st Central everything just went smashingly well. I did not have trouble getting my documents, and of course, I could do anything else online. That is how it ought to be, because I have no time for being held up by a voice message that, "we are very busy today"! (And invariably it is the same message every day! Thank you for doing it the easy way. Keep up the good work, or else, with very fickle customers these days, you will be left alone. Reviewed on: 14th October 2016

Unexpected Extras from 1st Central

I recently took out a policy with 1st Central, as they were the cheapest around with the best cover. I was surprised that they sent me details of a website where you can also get cashback and discounts on vouchers etc, free for thos who have insurance with them. Also, no hassle with the policy which I took out and can amend online. Reviewed on: 13th October 2016

A complete scam of a company

Don't be fooled by there cheap price, as the saying goes if its to good to be true. Well these people are out to sting you by admin charges to bring thier price to the correct market value. Had noting but problems from the very start we did not know if we were insured or not as there system was supposedly down for 72 hours, then there email system was not working. after a 53 minute wait on the phone they confirmed that we were insured then to receive there first letter asking for proof of everything or £ 75.00 admin charge. very bad customer relations

I purchased insurance with this company and filled out their form they asked if I had a claim I said no as I cancelled it with my previous insurance company and their policy too they loaded me up with a £150 further payment when you call them they take ages to answer and put you on hold for over 30 minutes DONT DEAL WITH THEM A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY IF ANYONE DECIDES TO READ THIS Reviewed on: 3rd October 2016

I do not recommend this company at all, 1st I had a quate from comparing the market when I spoke to one of the assistants she increased the price, 2nd they ask me for back to 15 years document which I have never been asked, I have 12 yrs NCB. 3rd I purchased fully comprehensive, BUT they do not allow me to drive any other car such as friend or family again this is my first car insurance with comprehensive and do not permit me to drive other cars. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL, they offer me £30 Amazon voucher to recommend them to anyone; this is my recommendation I do not need £30 voucher. Reviewed on: 29th September 2016

Poor Service, Avoid At All Costs

Did not send out the policy documents, over a week later wanted to put up the insurance by £288 because I made a mistake on the for. Cost me to leave them even though it was within 14 days of joining them. Reviewed on: 26th September 2016

Avoid

Only two weeks into my policy and I have had serious problems with this outfit. They do not acknowledge any correspondence, preferring instead to send out automatic letters saying you haven't provided documents or made payment when you have. To cap it all their adjustment fees are excessive so it's difficult to get rid of them. Will not be renewing with them. Reviewed on: 24th September 2016
