Signed up for online

Decided to sign up to online with the Chorley because of lock down. It was very straight forward and easy to understand considering doing online banking is new to me. I was sent an ID number through the post and went into my Chorley accounts but I couldn’t see a log out notice which the letter accompanying my ID number said to do but it would log me out after 5 minutes automatically if I wasn’t using the inline service. I found this to be a long time to wait and would have thought probably a couple of minutes would have been enough wait. I rang the next day and spoke to a lovely lady Called Joyce Haywood who was working from home because of the Covid-19 pandemic situation, she was very helpful and asked if there was a menu option which there was so I clicked on it and low and behold was the option to log off. Excellent service happy to deal with customers in branch.

Recently opened savings account in branch, very helpfull assistant - a cashier who was actually willing to handle cash. None of the usual meeters and greeters you find in the larger banks/building societies directing you to a cash machine. All the paperwork came through by post the following day. Access via High Street office.

ITS GOOD TO USE LOCAL FACILITIES

When we returned north from living in Cornwall in October 2021, we had no hesitation in depositing our savings with Chorley Building Society. It was great to be able to utilise the services of a local, rather than national, organisation. Reviewed on: 27th February 2023

Great Child's Saving Account

The staff are very personable when you ring them up with a query and try to answer any questions you have. There is a wide variety of different kinds of savings accounts. When my daughter had a government supported, Child Trust Fund and it became obsolete, Chorley automatically put my daughter savings into an appropriate child's savings account.
