Local branch is great but move to another town and the staff are grumpy and rude

Helpful staff, always ready to listen

When I've had problems the bank staff have always been willing to listen and help asugh as possible this includes helping me when an item I purchased did not arrive, extending overdraft temporarily and more. Reviewed on: 15th February 2016

Can't fault the service

The day to day running of my bank account is faultless, whether i am online or visiting the branch to update details or pay money in/withdraw I've not experinced a single hiccup in 22 years of banking with them. Been with hsbc for 12 years, never had problems with them

I like how in comparison to other banks, when I go into the bank itself I am not touched and harassed by sales assistants. The staff have always been helpful and genuine when I have had queries. Reviewed on: 14th February 2016

I have a normal bank account with HSBC and have been with them many years. They provide adequate service and I've not had any issues with them at all. I find the online banking excellent, I detest the telephone so don't use that service. I recently went to pay a cheque into the bank and found my local branch has closed down, I wasn't aware this was happening. The staff in there were always really lovely but the opening hours were pretty pathetic anyway. I am not sure how I am supposed to deal with cheques now as I have had no information about the closure. My overall review would be that the service is adequate, no more or less than I would expect.
