Gladiator will auto renew without your permission - beware.

We paid for our insurance in full - no claims during the period of cover. They then tried to auto renew and were un successful. After the third time of trying to take money without permission they " cancelled " the renewed insurance that we hadn't even asked for and sent us a cancellation charge. Currently the matter is with the ombudsman as it's no more than a bully tactic . Happy to take Admiral to the small claims court and let others know on social media that they are not to be trusted .

The renewal increased double. The reason behind was even my driving year was good the other drivers with similar car got fined and so on. I have never heard the most ridiculous nonsense in my life. It’s like some sort of collective driving now? And that i need to pay for other drivers failures? No! Ripoffs to say the least! Definitely not gonna recommend to my family and friends.

Admiral has been my first insurance in the UK. Following an accident, I filed a claim to have my car repaired. I gave them video evidence that the other car was driving without due care, but they wouldn't even look at it and decided I was fully liable. They booked me a garage appointment for after a week, during which I was driving my car. After dropping the car and getting the courtesy car, it took the garage another WEEK to get a repair estimate. I complained to Admiral but they wouldn't bother. I never got the estimate but I did get a call from Admiral about my car being a total loss and unroadworthy. I had to chase them to get the repair quote, which never had any info about the individual costs or the engineer's report. I then had to request any info about myself and my property under GDPR rules. Even then, the engineer's report was seriously lacking, with limited comments about the required repairs and no justification about the write off. They valued the car at £4300 and the repairs at £3700. I gave them another repair quote at £2400. Still a total loss. I argued that the car is worth at least £5000, gave them ads from autotrader of the same car, they couldnt care less! I had to get an independent assessor to get a valuation of my car at £5000, with a glass guide price of £5200!!! I offered alternative arrangements, including cancelling the claim, Cash In Lieu agreement, contract repair, me covering part of the repair cost, proof that the garage over-inflated the price. They COULDN'T CARE LESS, didn't even comment on this. I underlined the fact that the car was NOT a total loss but a CONSTRUCTIVE total loss, they don't care. I argued that NOWHERE on my policy they define what "not economical to repair" is, which means that by default definition option A is more economical than option B when cost A < cost B. They said they don't disclose this information or the repair to value ratio, which could be considered unfair terms and conditions. In this matter I believe they are in breach of their contract and I will be taking the matter further with the financial ombudsman. I am now 3 weeks without a car, my car is parked outside yet Im not allowed to drive it since Admiral believes it is unroadworthy and I can't repair it because they haven't agreed on repairs.

They advertise their personal loan on Experian (I have an excellent credit score and never missed a payment in my life) with 3% APR and I was on a guaranteed rate as per the description. They have completed the hard search on my account then told me that they can offer me a 50% APR rate.......So now, they destroyed my credit score probably for the next couple of months for nothing. I am not sure how this can be legal??? I do understand the difference between representative APR and personal, but don't tell me that somebody with a perfect credit history should expect an 50% APR on a personal loan. (Or if yes, please highlight it on experian too and don't make false promises)

I have contacted the ombudsman as these scammers probably try to force people to use their services as after a hard search probably you have to go with their rate as you won't get another offer from lenders......

Having had a house contents policy for a couple of years I was happy to stay with them when I moved house. I tried to contact them to update with my new house details but was told I had to speak to an advisor who would call me.This never happened and after trying to contact them by all means, web chat, email, phone ...I got nowhere and was forced to get cover from another company. I am still trying to cancel my old policy which they automatically renewed despite me telling them I was moving from that address.

Applied for a loan after seeing 95% chance of approval with expieran and ClearScore. After having a few checks done, they emailed with confirmation of acceptance however the APR had gone from
3.3% to 23.70% which is a big jump and an extra £3500 in 3 years! Just be wary of them, as they have done a credit check on my credit score So it will now be affected anyway! I rang up to cancel, and the man wasn’t surprised I cancelled it, would never use admiral for anything again!

DO NOT INSURE YOUR SELF WITH ADMIRAL.
My vehicle was stolen over 3 months ago and I have a crime number from the police and CCTV to prove my vehicle was stolen in the early hours of the morning. I sent them all the details they required within the first 7 days of the incident.
ADMIRAL HAVE STILL NOT PAID ME OUT.
They do not seem to care about me as a customer and do not contact me to keep me up to date. I have repeatedly sent emails and called them but they make up different excuses all the time. I am unable to buy a new van for my business as they have not paid me yet so it is costing me a lot of money to hire a van temporarily. I'm sure they would have resolved this issue if I was covered for a courtesy vehicle from them if my vehicle was stolen but I wasn't covered for this.
DO NOT INSURE YOUR SELF WITH ADMIRAL.
I would rather pay extra and get insured by someone who cares for there customers.

Had the worst experience ever with Admiral Insurance. After we were involved in a crash, their "investigator" failed to get CCTV footage that showed the other driver was liable. They then said that their investigation was based on photos both drivers supplied and Google Maps. Admiral then rolled over and said that I was fully liable, rather than sharing equal responsibility because they had failed to obtain the CCTV footage. Not to be trusted.

Everyone on the other end of the phone knows what they're talking about and you feel secure in their hands. They are quietly supportive because they dont bombard you with junk and emails and texts they just let you get on with it, and are there whenever you need them!

After having to put two claims in within 4 months of each other, one due to sudden death, one due to illness on holiday, I cannot praise Admiral enough for their customer service and very prompt payment. No stress, no hassle, just provided the information requested and received payment seven days later. Would definitely recommend.

Admin fee of £50 quid to change registration. Said minimum cost would be £19, I called to try and get minimum as it's a basic admin change. No desire to help me out on this. I ask to cancel the autorenewal due to this. They still tried to take payment for autorenewal after this. The price increased by £200 since last year and this was a similar story to previous year when I missed 14 day opt out period as I forgot I had autorenewal set up. So £400 increase in two years for 2 drivers over 40 with 7 and 12 years no claims. I went elsewhere. I wish these companies would just try to offer the same price point year on year to retain customers.
