DO NOT INSURE YOUR SELF WITH ADMIRAL.
My vehicle was stolen over 3 months ago and I have a crime number from the police and CCTV to prove my vehicle was stolen in the early hours of the morning. I sent them all the details they required within the first 7 days of the incident.
ADMIRAL HAVE STILL NOT PAID ME OUT.
They do not seem to care about me as a customer and do not contact me to keep me up to date. I have repeatedly sent emails and called them but they make up different excuses all the time. I am unable to buy a new van for my business as they have not paid me yet so it is costing me a lot of money to hire a van temporarily. I'm sure they would have resolved this issue if I was covered for a courtesy vehicle from them if my vehicle was stolen but I wasn't covered for this.
DO NOT INSURE YOUR SELF WITH ADMIRAL.
I would rather pay extra and get insured by someone who cares for there customers.

Had the worst experience ever with Admiral Insurance. After we were involved in a crash, their "investigator" failed to get CCTV footage that showed the other driver was liable. They then said that their investigation was based on photos both drivers supplied and Google Maps. Admiral then rolled over and said that I was fully liable, rather than sharing equal responsibility because they had failed to obtain the CCTV footage. Not to be trusted.

Admiral had the best rate on the market and so it was an easy choice for me when choosing my loan provider. Their service is quick, simple and effective. Everyone on the other end of the phone knows what they're talking about and you feel secure in their hands. They are quietly supportive because they dont bombard you with junk and emails and texts they just let you get on with it, and are there whenever you need them!

After having to put two claims in within 4 months of each other, one due to sudden death, one due to illness on holiday, I cannot praise Admiral enough for their customer service and very prompt payment. No stress, no hassle, just provided the information requested and received payment seven days later. Would definitely recommend.

Yearly increase and admin costs means I switched

Admin fee of £50 quid to change registration. Said minimum cost would be £19, I called to try and get minimum as it's a basic admin change. No desire to help me out on this. I ask to cancel the autorenewal due to this. They still tried to take payment ...

Admin fee of £50 quid to change registration. Said minimum cost would be £19, I called to try and get minimum as it's a basic admin change. No desire to help me out on this. I ask to cancel the autorenewal due to this. They still tried to take payment for autorenewal after this. The price increased by £200 since last year and this was a similar story to previous year when I missed 14 day opt out period as I forgot I had autorenewal set up. So £400 increase in two years for 2 drivers over 40 with 7 and 12 years no claims. I went elsewhere. I wish these companies would just try to offer the same price point year on year to retain customers.

On the 15 August 2019, I had a major leak with water damage to my house damaging 2 rooms. Although initially Admiral were helpful in sending an emergency plumber to me after this in reality they were of no practical help whatsoever (even though some of their employees who answered the phone were very polite and seemingly helpful at the time). Their IT system was down on 4 separate occasions of calling. They said they would phone back next day on 3 separate occasions and did not. All the onus during event was placed on myself as claimant rather than any real practical help on their side. They seem to keep down their costs on premiums by having very large excess which they use very much to their financial advantage during a genuine claim. Also incidentally they are offering 1000 pounds (in a draw) to have probably good reviews to you on what I am now filling, this is unethical.
In short you only truly know how good an insurance company is when you actually make a claim and as regards their Home insurance service Admiral as a company is appalling.

I spent two weeks looking through other quotes but could not find as good cover for anything less than original price
