Top value, features and excellent service

After trying around 6 or 7 credit cards over the past years, very happy to settle with AmEx as my main card and Tandem or Santander Zero as a secondary where AmEx is not accepted or abroad to avoid extra fees. Reviewed on: 4th January 2020

Recent Chargeback

Amex were very quick to respond to chargeback claim on my credit card recently and I would highly recommend them. The process was easy to follow and resolved quickly. Reviewed on: 22nd November 2019

best cashback, but you must wait for it

This card gives 1 pence cashback on every full 1 pound, eg. 8 pence from 8.90 etc. However the accumulated pot is only available after a full year. Be sure to look out for special offers on a few websites dedicated to money and savings as you can get the 25 pounds annual membership fee returned. Reviewed on: 21st November 2019

I recently got an AMEX cashback card and I'm loving it. I use my card to pay for everything, from transport, to shopping to restaurants, and I'm happy seeing my cashback grow. Reviewed on: 5th November 2019

Wish the 5% Interest Rate was for the first 6 months

A new customer to AE to take advantage of the interest rate on purchases; this is a good deal but it's a shame it can't be extended for six months. Reviewed on: 8th June 2019

Not sure how to actually get the cashback out?

American Express is a really good company. Someone cloned my credit card last year and they were fantastic in getting it all sorted and getting my money back. I had a new card within 48 hours, and it was over Christmas so that was pretty incredible. I'm not actually sure how you get the cashback out of your account though - I can see what I've earned but I have no idea how to actually get it! Reviewed on: 15th April 2019

Much Improved

I had an Amex credit card about 10 years ago and I am pleased to say that there are far more companies that now accept payments on an Amex credit card now; excellent cashback rates, albeit for only the first few months but if you time your application right (maybe just before you start your Xmas shopping) then you'd have a nice little earner to put towards the following year's Christmas.
