Good product, good service

Due to the cashback this is my credit card of choice, only let down by the fact that it's not accepted everywhere (likely due to the higher fees that afford me the cashback!). I had a great 0% purchase deal for almost 1.5 years (the first 3 months of which I earned 5% cashback). If I've had a query or error the call centre have been able to resolve it satisfactorily every time and hold wait times have not been too bad. It would be nice if the cashback ramped up a bit faster, as now I'm out of the introductory period, it currently staircases slowly from 0.5% to 1.25% Reviewed on: 24th November 2017

Free money!

We pit our regular spending on this card like the weekly shop and petrol and any other shopping sprees and pay it off every month then once a year we get our cash back which is like free money and make sure we use it on a family treat! Like a day out or a nice meal. Reviewed on: 30th May 2017

amazed how good they are

One tends not to think of credit card providers unless you need help and then you cross your fingers and hope you get a decent one. I am however totally bemused by the sheer niceness and helpfulness of the Amex representatives. I am so unused to it that I admit that it throws me completely. The are just so HELPFUL - it leaves you with a big warm smile on your face - feels so wrong! and on top of it all - they give me unexpected money every year! Reviewed on: 25th May 2017

Cashback reward every year means a treat each May

The Platinum cashback American Express card has always been our go to credit card. Our anniversary month is May so we get the year's cash back rewarded to us in time to buy a treat for the summer usually. The app is great with bonus partner deals to sign up for, meaning even more savings over and above the cash back itself. Reviewed on: 7th May 2017
