My favourite card

My favourite credit card! I have been AMEX card member for almost 10 years. I have the cash back card that cost £25 a year. The card gives me cash back on anything I spend, and pays out the cash back once a year, at the end of your anniversary month. I am trying to do all my monthly spending on this card and collect over £200 cash back each year. There are also offers available for you to add to your card which change regularly. These offers give you extra cash back when you spend at particular places. Repay everything at the end of the month like you would with every card that you use. Platinum cashback card

I'd highly recommend this credit card for everyday spenders; I use the card wherever possible then pay off the bill in full at the end of the month. The AMEX app makes it easy to track my spending and understand how much my direct debit is likely to be. AMEX customer service are brilliant over the phone and are quick at resolving queries. Great deals and good mobile app

Amex cashback deals are generous and frequent, and the shop small deal is the cherry on top. The mobile app is modern and easy to use and integrates really well with Google pay. The only downsides are poor foreign exchange rates and fees, so not recommended for travel, and there are still a number of retailers who don't accept amex - but this is getting much better in my experience. Top value, features and excellent service

After trying around 6 or 7 credit cards over the past years, very happy to settle with AmEx as my main card and Tandem or Santander Zero as a secondary where AmEx is not accepted or abroad to avoid extra fees. Reviewed on: 4th January 2020

Recent Chargeback

Amex were very quick to respond to chargeback claim on my credit card recently and I would highly recommend them. The process was easy to follow and resolved quickly. Reviewed on: 22nd November 2019

best cashback, but you must wait for it

This card gives 1 pence cashback on every full 1 pound, eg. 8 pence from 8.90 etc. However the accumulated pot is only available after a full year. Be sure to look out for special offers on a few websites dedicated to money and savings as you can get the 25 pounds annual membership fee returned. Reviewed on: 21st November 2019
