Makes student life easy!

As most people know, student life can be tough when it comes to trying to manage different bank accounts. The Bank of Scotland advisors were very helpful when I was setting in my current and student and were flexible around times that I could make appointments. The bank of Scotland app is also a great help when it comes to managing my money on a daily basis! Reviewed on: 28th January 2016

Approachable Organisation

I was made redundant and due to that my credit and financial health was utterly destroyed. BofS were the only bank to offer me practical help and secured me a current account when RBS took away my only one. Reviewed on: 7th November 2017

Too many costly mistakes.

Made way too many mistakes on telephone banking. Lost a payment to BT which made my accounts late causing a massive fine an closure of my company. Cancelled my credit card (which I still had) when I reported my bank card stolen.. Wouldn't pay funds from my bank account to my credit card by telephone banking without credit card number. Cheeky brat in a branch laughed at me when I made a comment about their poor performance . Reviewed on: 6th November 2017

Efficient

I opened an account with the Bank of Scotland mainly because the branch was handy for me. I've always found the bank to be very efficient, friendly but never pushy in any dealing that I've had with them. Reviewed on: 7th August 2017

Great customer service

The customer service is fantastic and I found it very easy to set up my cash ISA. The rates are not the best out there, but with a fairly small sum, the percentage difference with competitors would hardly make much impact on the interest. Having been with some truly awful banks, it's worth it, not to have to deal with them. Reviewed on: 12th February 2017

Value for money

I've had a Bank of Scotland reward account for many years and have always been happy with it. I've taken advantage of the many reward benefits included. From the worldwide travel insurance, mobile phone insurance to that time my front door lock broke and I needed home emergency cover! Happy customer! Reviewed on: 5th February 2017

Benefits of current account without the judgement

Cash Account from Bank of Scotland gives you all the benefits of a current account (direct debit, debit card etc) just without the overdraft. Great customer service too. Reviewed on: 29th December 2016

Worst bank ever

I have been with this bank for 15 years and I can't even get an adults bank account. I have Okay credit. Will only give me cash card. It's taking 9 days for them to cash a tax cheque as well. Never interested in helping. Reviewed on: 28th December 2016

Good but not great

I've been with Bank Of Scotland for several years now but recently thinking of changing as I've noticed most other banks do lots of offers and thing i haven't seen with BoS, also I have had problems with delayed transactions and charges which have resulted in having to keep calling customer service, who often cannot help and have to transfer me to complaints, they are ok...good but not great, could be much better.
