Worst Customer Service ever

After excepting a credit card offer from Barclays through my AARP membership, I immediately gave them information for two balance, transfers. The balance transfers with 0% interest were the sole reason I excepted the credit card offer to begin with. After waiting a few weeks, one of my statement still was not reflecting that the transfer has been made.. When I contacted Barclays, they told me that it failed to process, but they could not tell me why. When I asked how to resolve it, they said they could not help me as it had been over 45 days and I was required to do the transfer in that time period. I spoke with a customer care center supervisor named Kevin, who assured me that he could see that I had provided all information necessary for the balance transfer well ahead of the 45 days. However, since there was a problem on their end (one, they never made any attempt to resolve) he was not able to resubmit it. He acknowledged that I provided all the information to them for the balance transfer well within the required timeline. However, despite it, not being my fault, they could not resubmit and would not honor the original offer. He also assured me that I would be wasting my time to try and escalate it further as he was the final authority, and there was no one else that it could be escalated to. Reviewed on: 21st June 2023

Easy to use and flexible card - I would recommend

Great customer service, very helpful and they offer many options to you. There is also many ways for making your repayments. Reminders on your phone that your payment is due which is so useful. Only negative point is that I am not aware of any customer rewards or benefits programme that would make it a better customer experience (there may well be one). Reviewed on: 13th January 2019

Always helpful

Good customer service. The managers on the phones always accommodate me when needed for example my direct debit changing due to starting a new job. Rather than put charges on they will void them for a good reason. However my previous credit card did not change my direct debit in time and still put loads of interest on. That is why I would recommend them. Reviewed on: 7th December 2018
