The bank that listens

I have been with Barclays since a very early age and it has mostly been a pleasant experience. My branch in New Milton are always very helpful. The staff listen carefully and try to help when necessary and if they can't they will try and find someone who can. It is always helpful to be able to talk to a member of staff face to face especially when reviewing other financial products/services. I have recommended Barclays to my family and friends and my children have accounts at Barclays. One point to consider, it would be nice if Barclays offered an incentive with student accounts, like a free railcard, as other banks do. Overall though a good experience. Having had bad credit, I am not allowed an overdraft

Switched my old account to a Barclays banks account. Makes life so much simpler, the app is fantastic, great rewards on selected accounts. My partner even switched his not long after I did. Reviewed on: 31st January 2017

Easy to use and great customer services

I have a bank account with Barclays, and I really like it! I've had for 5/6 years now, and so far have not thought about changing. I am happy with how easy it is to manage my account online, how safe my money feels and most of the time I can find out any information online, but if not it's easy to get through to a customer service representative. Shocking service, poor telephone accessibility.

Nothing but issues since we opened the account. When we then lodged a fraud claim for a tv someone had bought on eBay for £459, they rejected our claim 3 times! Then had to wait 8 weeks to get a complaint resolved and finally get our money back, and had to get the ombudsman involved to sort out compensation. Shocking service. Reviewed on: 30th January 2017

Had a Barclays account for about eight years and there'snothing fantastic about our account or customer service but nothing awful about it either. Would be great if an account manager could keep in touch by email or online because having twin babies and school age children limits getting to the bank or making phone calls Reviewed on: 21st January 2017

Fraud finders

Twice my card has been attempted to be fraudulently used and both times Barclays has stopped any of the transactions leaving my account and contacted me straight away Reviewed on: 19th January 2017
