British Banking at its Worst

What can I say about Barclays Bank? They are impossible to contact from abroad. They do not provide bank references. They return my wire transfers for no reason leaving me with no money in my account to pay my mortgage. Everything is 'centralised' so discussion with the local bank manager is a thing of the past. So easy to use

My barclays account

Very basic bank account, no incentive to remain with them but it is somewhere trustworthy to keep my money. Am considering moving to virgin money as they have amazing lounges! But, until then, I trust my money is safe... Reviewed on: 10th February 2017

They sent my contactless card to the wrong address!

I recently moved and was told by Barclays I had to tell them my new address in a branch. I did this and they typed it into an ipad. I then had a statement and paying in book e-delivered to me from a neighbour at a similar address - Barclays had written that down instead of mine. I informed Barclays of their mistake straight away and told them my correct address yet over a week later they sent a contactless debit card to the wrong address! Thankfully the person living at that address was honest and put it through my letterbox - had they not been it could have been a whole different story. After all this I discovered I could actually change my address my self online and had Barclays told me this to begin with I could have saved a loss of stress and hassle.
