Easy to open an account

I was a UK resident but not citizen recently arrived in the UK. I went to several banks to open an account but found them uninterested and unhelpful, except Barclays. Several years later I am still with them. Reviewed on: 15th February 2016

Customer service

Barclays have been a leader within the financial sector for a number of years now, and as a direct response has become a stable company within the United Kingdom for the past couple of decades. As a student they were more than helpful when holding a student account. However since the financial crash of 2008 and the rise of Internet banking the face to face service of which the company led by example, has suffered somewhat. Branches have closed kiosks and unfortunately the personal touch of which allowed Barclays to stand out from the competiton has been lost. Could be much better

Excellent service!

I often have lots of payments going in and out and it is hard for me to keep track sometimes. The staff always go above and beyond to help me out when I have to query something. A great account! Reviewed on: 21st June 2016

Excellent Customer Service

Ive have been a customer of barclays bank for 18 years and cant fault their excellent customer service. There is no other bank i wouls trust to handle my money! Reviewed on: 2nd June 2016

amoiunt in bank is never up to date

as i said the amount you have in your bank takes ages to update and outgoings don't show up for days online banking with them is awful and you need a card reader to transfer anything which is a huge pain Reviewed on: 1st June 2016

Great Facilities

The new Barclays Bank at Newcastle upon Tyne is great. Gone are the long queues at the counter replaced by manned cash points that you can withdraw or make payments into. Much faster and easy to use once you have had one or two demonstrations from staff. Thanks Barclays. Reviewed on: 19th May 2016
