Easy to open an account

I was a UK resident but not citizen recently arrived in the UK. I went to several banks to open an account but found them uninterested and unhelpful, except Barclays. Several years later I am still with them. Reviewed on: 15th February 2016

Great friendly service however required

I feel that Barclays bank offers second to none service whether in the branch or through their app. It is so easy to use their facilities and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Reviewed on: 16th September 2020

Bank

I have been with Barclays for a number of years they have always been understanding very helpful and polite every time I go in to see them if I have a problem it is always doubt with I do not need to go anywhere else as this is the best bank I've been with Reviewed on: 11th September 2020

Very Good

never had an issue with this bank even when I've gone overdraft they send out a text with a time limit in witch i need to bring my balance back to £0 and always managed to do so in time Reviewed on: 2nd September 2020

Ridiculous wait times

I've been a Barclays customer for over 15 years and never had a serious problem, until now. Their app and online banking options are usually sufficient to manage my accounts these days, but on the rare occasion I have needed to speak with someone on the phone, I've had mixed experiences. Of course, I'm aware that banks and other companies have longer wait times than "normal" at the moment, but under no circumstances is waiting almost two hours for customer services to answer the phone acceptable. When I finally did get through, the gentleman I spoke to was both polite and helpful. Otherwise, I'd be switching banks immediately. Reviewed on: 11th August 2020

RUBBISH

If you joint this bank expect HOURS on the phone waiting to talk to someone, who when you finally get through they can't help so transfer you BACK TO THE ORIGINAL PHONE QUEUE. This my late dads bank, I managed to get POA account but still after two weeks can't get online to access my dads estate Reviewed on: 17th July 2020
