Easy to open an account

I was a UK resident but not citizen recently arrived in the UK. I went to several banks to open an account but found them uninterested and unhelpful, except Barclays. Several years later I am still with them. Reviewed on: 15th February 2016

Closest to a challenger bank!

I have been a Barclays customer for all of my life. Recently took up starling, monzo and all of the other challenger banks and I would say Barclays is most comparable. The only things Barclays needs to get is instant notifications, creating pots, rounding up, direct debit notifications before a direct debit goes out and no fees/fixed small fee for foreign transactions. Otherwise the UX/UI is great and continuously improving, it’s quick and easy to use. I think Barclays have taken the right path in developing its current product unlike NatWest or the other banks who have launched standalone challenger banks like Bó or Mettle. Keep doing what you’re doing and add the benefits challenger banks give you and you have a customer for life! Reviewed on: 13th January 2020

Fantastic Bank

I have been with Barclays for 21 years, I have never had an issue and have found their service to always be of the highest caliber. Outstanding customer service and very easy to use online services.
