Buy for Uni mortgage

We applied for a niche product, a Buy for Uni mortgage, which is only offered by 3 lenders. In fact, of the 3, the Bath BS was the only one that could meet all our criteria. Excellent service from start to finish with supportive and informative advice from Tim Randell. The application form was a little old fashioned, completed in pen and posted back! But in reality it was no problem. It was processed quickly and the offer made without any real delays. Reviewed on: 28th June 2024

Chocolate teapot comes to mind

As a joint mortgage holder I have no access to any of the mortgage information. I am not able to access the mobile app as it doesn't recognise me and they dont do online banking. They have however confirmed that if the primary mortgage holder defaults they will then contact me (after my credit rating has been affected). Overall my experience with them and their customer service has been very poor. Reviewed on: 20th June 2023

Great service

I contacted the team via the app which was very simple I connected to the wrong department in error but the team got me to the correct person within seconds and arranged someone to call me back. Top service Reviewed on: 12th June 2023

First class service from a very helpful organisation

We were looking to purchase a property for our son to live in for up to 3 years whilst he was living in another part of the U.K. The Bath Building Society’s Buy for Uni student mortgage product was exactly what we were looking for. However, as well as having a market leading product, they also had a team of people behind it that took the time and trouble to understand our circumstances and come up with a finance offer. I would like to express my appreciation for the way my remortgage has been handled by Bath Building Society.
