Superb customer service! Thank you!

I've had a mortgage with Bath building society for 15 years . I was made redundant just before Christmas 2011 and was out of work for 3 whole months and couldn't pay the mortgage. When I contacted Bath they were very decent about it and when I did find another job they were flexible about the repayments. Above all they didn't make me feel humiliated like I was begging which I couldn't say for my own bank or other providers. Well done Bath and thank you, your kindness was not forgotten! Personal Underwriting from The Bath

On initially contacting this lender we were very pleasantly surprised at the direct and friendly nature of our conversation. Lo and behold the IT gremlins kicked in and that's understandable, even if its frustrating. Suffice to say we submitted online on the 13th May ( never thought of the date or its significance ) Today the 24th May I am told that it may be passed to an underwriter by Next MONDAY. At this rate my documents are in danger of running out of date. Sorry Bath Your end of year report reads . Showed a lot of initial potential, but unfortunately did not realise that potential. Friendly, approachable with interesting niche products

A case was declined last week on affordability grounds as the underwriters were 'uncomfortable' with the income being sustainable. I submitted a request on Friday 6th May to review the decision and provided evidence in support. Today, 9th May, in a chat with Nick, I was told that my request has been referred to the underwriters. Whatever the result of the review, which I hope is favourable, the responsiveness of the Society to my enquiry was excellent and I am in no doubt about the process in which it is engaged.
