bad service, incompetency, no word to express how bad HSBC is.

1
Bad service and customers are treated worst than animals ... Tried to open an account and after a mounth I am told that the account can be opened because of initials missing of my proof of adress.Great ridiculous does not kill. Was even asked to leave the branch................. That is scandalous and great Llodys agencies are next to them... This year Lloyds made a lot of benefits, no wonder why most of the Lloyds agencies are located next to HSBC ones. At least, in Lloyds banks, the customers service is a lot better and they offer solutions, HSBC proposes only troubles. The best expressions of HSBC ; I am sorry, I understand and rather than that no solutions proposed to help the customers. HSBC your policy can t be put into words to express how bad it is. I guess this statement won t change your methods and your outdated policies, continue like that Llodys and others normal banks will make even more benefits .................. I had been purchasing games and other various things onlline and not even 30 seconds after i ordered the games hsbc rang to confirm that it was me using my card. I found this very helpful in case there was suspicious activity on my card, i would be content knowing they would ring to make sure straight away Reviewed on: 18th March 2015

Disappointing that such poor customer care exists in this organisation

1
Misleading information, rude advisors I will never deal with this bank again Reviewed on: 11th March 2015

They closed local branches, unhelpful staff not keen on keeping customers so I've moved to nat west

1
Been customer with them over 20 yrs, can't pay cheques anymore as local branches have closed, asked for new Internet Banking card got stunned look by cashier like I was talking another language in the end he said dunno. Suspended my credit card due to abnormal transaction that I understand but how about you phone me to prevent embarrassing me store? No longer keen on keeping customers happy so I'm in process of leaving. Reviewed on: 3rd February 2015

Outstanding customer care

Visited Canary Wharf branch today with my partner who needed to open a bank account. The member of staff we dealt with could not have been more helpful. We were very pleased with the assistance we received. Reviewed on: 31st January 2015

Fees are way over the top

2
I'm really happy with the service but the excess overdraft fees are just too much. It has got to the point where I am terrified of going overdrawn so I rarely use my bank account any more. I draw out my money each month and deal strictly in cash. Reviewed on: 29th January 2015

I have and with HSBC since I was a teenager the staff are always helpful and take the time to make sure you understand

3
I have always banked with HSBC. I have no issues regarding the service, however I do think they over charge if u accidentally go overdrawn other than that service is fab Reviewed on: 29th January 2015

Not very helpful, very basic.

They made it very difficult to get hold of them and despite them taking charges from my account after they were in the wrong, they refunded the charges but continued to take the interest! Reviewed on: 26th January 2015

The most unhelpful bank I have ever had the displeasure of communicating with.

1
This bank has no provision for more elderly customers who need a little help to run their accounts. Whilst my father was extremely ill he was forced to read out numbers from his debit card and answer questions even though he had answered all security questions and asked for me to assist him. After his death, we have had to contact this shambles of a bank on numerous occasions to finalise his affairs. Whilst having cause to contact customer services having been locked out of her online account, they make no provision for her difficultyin hearing and although she answered security questions and asked for me to be able to continue to explain what the problem was we were refused. All the internet helpline did was pass us back to customer services. If you like wasting your time speaking to people who have no desire to help and are reading from a script then open an account with HSBC. If you have better ways to spend your time avoid them at all costs. Rude, unhelpful and impersonal. Reviewed on: 19th January 2015

Love this bank - have banked with others but NOW have confidence in my bank

Changed banks and feel HSBC have given me confidence. They text if I'm overdrawn so I can top up account so I won't be charged. Fab service as well Reviewed on: 19th January 2015
