By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Before starting Car Ins Policy, all my questions were answered by phone or email quickly and clearly.

Since starting policy, updates from By Miles have been very good and helpful. My driving habits since Corona V (ie a lot less car use) have changed and not having to pay for useage not used has been a great money saver for me. Reviewed on: 31st July 2020

A different way.......a better way

I was always fed up with the annual round of arguments and false haggling over price increases when it came to renewing my car insurance. When I read about ByMiles I realised that at last there was a different way for me to get the coverage I needed. From the first minute of approaching ByMiles I have been impressed with their honest, friendly yet professional manner and an approach which is more akin to the 21st century as opposed to the 19th century approach preferred by other companies. I have felt valued and respected, plus I have saved money (around £50-60 per year) with not paying mileage when the car is sat on my drive for days at a time (especially so during Coivd-19!!). I appreciate a company has to make money, but that must be balanced with not trying to take advantage of customers, which I and many of friends feel most car insurance companies do. In fact I have even actively tried to persuade people to change. I love the little tech advantages of having the tracker gadget box, especially when on holiday abroad as you can see where you car is!! All in all ByMiles is a better way......... At least one thing is going right!

I have only had my By Miles policy for a few months. Pre lock down to be precise. The referral credit given means that I am still using the free credit - definitely a plus. Mobile app is well laid out and gives a complete break down of all journeys. To some extent, you may not want to know every details of your day2day but it is exactly there to track everything. 8/10 as have not had any involvement with customer service or anyone from the company yet. Therefore can't comment on that. Second point is insurance only beneficial for those who know what they are going to drive p/month and can therefore have a realistic forecast ahead of their year of driving. I love this company this is my second year with them and my insurance dropped unlike some other companies that puts up the prices each year your Only charged for the miles you do You pay a one off payment and if you don’t drive you don’t pay works for me Reviewed on: 31st July 2020

Perfect especially in these challanging times

so i work for a company that provides me with a work van, so my car doesnt actually do many miles and so therefore by miles has saved me about £200 for this year alone. But with lock downs happening and people not being able to use the car as much, by miles is the perfect insurance choice right now. I couldnt recomend them enough. Reviewed on: 31st July 2020

I joined the day By Miles launched and have loved the warm very personable custom service from Grace. Even when my windows and roof wouldn't close late on a Friday evening freaking me out as I live in a urban area , I received a couple of follow up calls from a representative assisting and assuring me so that my car was safe until I could resolve the following day.
