Shocking outdated banking and awful response from call handler in fraud team

This bank is shockingly outdated and blaming visa for continuously blocking my card and account . When it is their systems, as other banks are not blocking as frequently as this, I mean after 2 or 3 transactions !! Manager very defensive as soon as she comes on the phone and unable to show any empathy or willingness to solve the issues ! Terrible managerial skills ! I would not recommend using this bank , call system is awful , have to wait for 60 mins at least , and they really do not appear to care ! Moving to another bank as we don’t have to put up with this shocking customer service ! Reviewed on: 6th December 2022

I have banked with the Co op Bank for many, many years. I have always been proud of 'my' bank for their excellent customer service but since the pandemic, I have experienced nothing but frustration. The last time I tried to contact Customer Services, I waited 30 minutes, was disconnected from the person I finally got to speak to and then had to wait another 30 minutes to speak to someone. The entire process cost me over £6 in call charges. Whenever I use the messaging function, to seek solutions to banking issues, I get a message back to say I need to call Customer Services. Every time I have an issue they are super helpful They have always gone the extra mile to help me unlike other banks Being disabled they have been understanding about talking to people on my behalf when needed. Always a good experience. Reviewed on: 23rd September 2022

Call themselves ethical/peoples bank ..far from it

Have been with this bank 25years am in full time employment and they have just pulled my overdraft from under me. at a time when we are deep in a cost of living crisis I will be pushed into financial crisis at the end of Sept . This has caused me untold anxiety and stress and then they have the cheek to send emails for me to recommend a friend . Reviewed on: 28th August 2022
