Quick and easy claims procedure

No hassle when youre at your worst

You never can tell how good an insurance company is until you need to make a claim. I did 47k worth of damage to my 3 week old mid life crisis car. Direct line we’re on the ball and sorted pretty much everything out for me. They extended the courtesy car for another few days so that I was able to pick my second midlife crisis car up from the dealership. Money was transferred to my account within 2 days of me sending the Vo5 to them for the old car. Was able to put the new car on the policy without any issues. I tend to avoid cheap insurance for this exact reason, you don’t want to be arguing over little details when you make expensive mistakes. I’ve recommended them several times recently, and will be staying with them when I renew providing they don’t put the premiums up too much over the market average. I’m happy to pay a bit more to stay with them. Also dropped a laptop about 18 months ago at home, and they allowed me to get it repaired myself (MacBook Pro Touch Bar just after it had come out) at the Apple shop and submit the receipts - again a pleasure to deal with. Smooth Car Insurance Renewal

I had a very smooth and easy ride with Direct Line when I needed to renew my car insurance with Direct Line. I saw the cost for my second year higher than my first. I called the customer helpline about if they could do it for cheaper and they did, they even threw in extra motor protection. Not only did I pay less but I walked away with more than my first year with them. Overall, I had a very easy time with the customer service agent. Reviewed on: 14th July 2019
