Have banked with FD for a long time - made the mistake many years ago after a poorer than normal experience to move current accounts but quickly regretted it and went back. App online always reliable and their phone customer service always exceptional. So nice polite and friendly and genuine. Actually seem to care about what they do and how they do it. Always professional efficient and well trained. use several other banks for saving or additional accounts or other products but refuse to move current account again. Reviewed on: 12th June 2025

A banking relationship worth having!

I’ve been a first direct customer for around 30 years and have always enjoyed being a customer. It’s not that things have never gone wrong during this time, but it’s how they have dealt with the mistakes or challenges that have always demonstrated why this is an organisation that really understands customer service, and get things fixed in a way I can trust. It counts that I can rely on my bank (across all my accounts with them, not just my current account) to do the right thing, not just the minimum they can get away with. That’s a relationship worth having and one I’ve never regretted establishing back in the late 90’s. Long may it continue! Reviewed on: 18th April 2025

We have never had any issues with First Direct. Call centre open all hours and year round with English speakers, so no misunderstandings in translation. We've ordered cash collections with ease when we've needed larger amounts of cash for home projects. Reviewed on: 17th April 2025
