Awful. Finally leaving

I had many accounts with Halifax for about 15 years, punch after punch they wore me into switching. None existent customer service, no perks, daft security features that leave you high and dry when you desperately need to use your card. Couldn't get a mortgage with them even on a terrible rate so went elsewhere, seen almost zero interest in all my years there due to terrible rates. Now I get far better service on a far better rate elsewhere. Reviewed on: 6th January 2023

Poor services, stressful account management, yelled at by staff on the phone

Have been trying to claim this money back for 2 months. Every 2 weeks I send another message and have money taken from my account, and then it's put back because I ask them to look at the evidence. It's mentally draining, stressful and extra effort. On top of that the interest rates are below 1%, applying for credit cards is basically impossible and calling to ask questions is met with burned out staff. Reviewed on: 18th December 2022

Worst Bank

Worst Customer Service do not join this Bank! I will be changing my Bank. They do not support the customer when fraudulent transaction happen. Reviewed on: 2nd December 2022

The worst bank EVER!

Halifax have to be the WORST bank EVER! I've been banking with them since 2007 and have always used my bank account to pay bills etc... Earlier on this year somebody committed fraud using my name with Barclays Bank. I only found out because there was a CIFAS marker on my record. Halifax shut down my bank accounts and treated me like I was a criminal everytime I rang them to try and get access to my money. Barclays bank who I've never even banked with sorted out the CIFAS marker and did a thorough investigation and found that my name was used to commit fraud without my knowledge. Barclays even paid me compensation. Halifax caused me sleepless nights, a lot of stress and treated me like absolute rubbish! I would NEVER recommend that anybody bank with them! I've tried to complain, but they just ignore me. Halifax bank are absolutely disgusting! DON'T bank with them! Reviewed on: 18th September 2022
