Review of the Halifax, Fixed Rate Mortgage:

Fantastic customer service!

As first time buyers, we were so nervous about getting ripped off on our first mortgage. We'd explored other options but eventually decided to go with Halifax, as we both held current and savings accounts with them already. From day 1, the process was so smooth. We met our Mortgage Advisor and immediately felt at ease. There were no pushy sales tactics and we really felt like she was on our side and trying to get the best deal for us. Half way through we changed the property we were buying and the change was effortless for her. She helped us through every stage until she left to go on maternity and even then we still had the best service from Halifax. We'd originally gone for the £400 cashback but right before we were due to complete, we'd seen the £1,000 cashback deal for new owners. As we were already completing, we were worried we wouldn't be eligible but after we expressed our concerns, they honoured it and gave us an extra £600 cashback, which helped us pay our solicitors bill in full. The best part, though? Receiving a lovely little tote bag full of new home goodies, including teabags, shortbread biscuits and more. Thank you so much for making our first home purchase a breeze! I've been with the Halifax branch for years .

I have a visa card also a mortgage with the halifax branch. I've been with them for years now it's a very good company i'm pleased with the service i've received so far. I also do online banking so i can keep an eye on my money. you can also called them anytime to discuss anything the customer service is brilliant.
