Horrible company,waste of money

The claim was being dealt with slowly.They then closed down my claim because they couldn't reach me on the phone once. They obviously didn't keep track on what was going on. I've tried to restart the claim twice. An automated answer phone told me to only start a claim on the phone,if I'm a vulnerable person. Otherwise I should use the online application form. I did, so far it has been ignored. They obviously do whatever they want to. I'll have to fix the damage myself. Reviewed on: 5th June 2023

Utter shysters, when you attempt to make a claim they use every trick in the book to block you actually making the claim. Use another insurance provider, that’s what I’ll be doing! Reviewed on: 25th March 2023

I have got some cameras that I use for aviation photography. I always make sure I'm covered for accidental damage at home and away. I took out a policy with then and unfortunately needed to claim after I accidentally dropped the contents of my cameras bag onto my driveway getting the bag out of the car. I thought I was covered wherever I was, but no, I didn't have 'outbuilding and open spaces'cover. So if I dropped it in my house, I'm covered. If I dropped it outside the boundary of my home I'd be covered. But no-because I dropped it on my drive and didn't have this cover I didn't even know I needed, claim rejected. I complained but was again rejected. I'm furious and feel they sold me a policy I couldn't claim on Reviewed on: 13th February 2023

Worst home insurance provider out there.

I have had the worst experience with Halifax home insurance. Our flat flooded nearly two months ago through no fault of our own, it was our neighbours pipe that burst. This long since the flood you'd think at least the contents would be out the flat. Unfortunately not. Everything is now growing mold and getting ruined. We have been moved accomodation 3 times since the flood since they refuse to book anything more than two weeks in advance. This has led to my partner ending up in hospital as she has cerebral palsy and moving so frequently exacerbated it. We just want to go home but Halifax have made it clear to us they do not care. If you are even considering using the for home insurance, please, save yourself some trouble and don't use them. Reviewed on: 5th February 2023

An Absolute Joke

what an absolute joke, i have just tried to call them to discuss my renewal and they will not speak to me because they cannot get me through the security. but they don't want to know normal things like my name address date of birth post code email, telephone number, how i pay, the amount i pay what date i pay etc - that not enough no they want details of the policy that i just cannot answer. I am now off to make a formal complaint to the ICO as they are holding my data and will not give me access to what they are holding which is a breach. What's wrong with these companies?
