Not worth it

The interest rates are so low on these ISAs it’s not worth going with Halifax. The app is great and it’s easy to deposit money in the account but the return is negligible. Reviewed on: 20th March 2023

Great at taking the money, poor at giving it back

Opened a help to buy ISA 5 years ago, I am buying a house now. Went to close it to find that is must be done in branch, ok fine. However ALL branches including major city centre ones ONLY open 0930 till 1400. As I work mon-fri, like most people, I can’t do this. Called customer service to be told basically “tough”. Was told I could write a letter to the closing team, you read that correctly write a letter, no phones, no email. The closing team don’t have phones or computers appa... HALIFAX ISA STRANGE DECISION

My 5 Year ISA reached maturity recently and as I have done for the 20+years I have had an ISA with the Halifax I simply planned to start a new one with them but was amazed when A I saw the paltry interest rate they were paying on the accoun0.75 % plus only 2 year ISA . Needless to say I looked elsewhere and found a good deal at almost 3 X the interest rate at a fixed 5 year deal Reviewed on: 9th February 2020
