Good Customer Service

When I have needed to call Halifax they have always been very happy to help, providing excellent customer service. I have had a loan, current account and ISA with them for a few years now and their services are so much better than other banks I have tried which is why I always recommend them Reviewed on: 6th September 2016

Ignorance finds its reward

I knew next to nothing about saving money with an institution and was both nervous and a little anxious about committing to such a step. Fortunately, Halifax led me through all the options and the ramifications and implications of choosing each one. Low rates, but easy to use

informative, concise, genuine and friendly service

Me and my partner wanted to start saving our money to help us get a mortage and wanted to do so in the most effective way possible. We chose Halifax to do this with but didn't really know where to go from there. From having a meeting with an advisor, we were talked through all the options and really felt that the informative we were getting was honest and took into account our best interests rather than just being a sales pitch which you do sometimes feel you are getting at banks. We felt assured that Halifax were approachable and that we were confident in saving with them and choosing the saver ISA. Reviewed on: 22nd June 2016

Cash ISA

I took out a Cash ISA account with Halifax several years ago (I already had my current account with them). The account is really easy to use - I just transfer money using online banking from my current account to my ISA with a few clicks. Money can be returned to my current account in the same way with unlimited withdrawals and no penalties. I tend to use the account for short to medium term savings to keep the money separate from my current account, its not the best rate of interest but if you want a savings account that is tax free, easy to use with unlimited free withdrawals then I would highly recommend this product. Good service

Need to do more for savers

Halifax could provide a better interest rate for us savers. My isa has dropped by 1% in the last 3 months so I decided not to reinvest it. Reviewed on: 16th February 2016
