Affordable for young drivers

I’m 18 and just got my first year of insurance with black box which helps save lots of money. It was quick delivery and the app is excellent - I recommended to all my friends starting to pass their driving tests! Reviewed on: 16th September 2024

I have been with Hastings for a couple of years and they have always been competitive in price for what they offer. Last year i had a car accident when someone went into the back of me. I rang Hastings and they were very helpful sorting my claim out. They offered a courtesy car for the duration of the repair (I didn't take this up as i had a spare car i could use already ) They were very fast in arranging the repair plus my legal fees and physiotherapy to recover from the accident. Good company but expensive at renewal.

I took out car insurance last April as the price was competative. They have been a great company, no problems. My renewal quote has gone up by half so i will be leaving. All things considered its a good company just dont automatically renew. Reviewed on: 28th March 2016

Poor communication and took 3 months to sort out a claim. Agreed to contniue direct debits then charged me double to insure the same make of car for the last 4 months of the year. Reviewed on: 13th March 2016

Although I had to be issued with a black box and was placed on restricted miles Hastings were fantastic their customer service department couldn't be happier to help with any equiries and I was able to log online to see how efficient I was at driving which I found excellent in helping to improve my driving skills and confidence Reviewed on: 12th March 2016
