I’ve always had a great experience

I’ve always had a great experience with Heyu Credit Union. The team are very helpful and genuinely try their best to support me whenever they can. They treat people fairly and take the time to understand your situation, which really makes a difference. I’ve found them much more approachable and supportive than traditional banks. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a fair and understanding lender. Reviewed on: 2nd June 2025

Advice, manageable loans & support

I had financial difficulties around eight years ago. I popped into my branch in Hull and plucked up the courage to ask to speak to someone who might be able to advise me. I was very upset and in a situation I thought I couldn’t get out off. The staff were marvellous and reassuring. I ended up taking out a load and they helped me sort my bills out in the office. By consolidating my debt and paying off creditors (the staff dealt with them) I received peace of mind and was able to start sleeping at night. I received advice for in the future that I stuck to. My loan was taken out over four years and was a far more manageable amount each month (compared to my debt) . I returned to the branch once I’d paid the final payment to tell the same staff that she had actually changed my life for the better with her advice and kindness. I will never be able to thank the Hull branch enough for the support they gave me. My account is still open as a small savings account and I’m still completely debt free four years on.
