Jaja Finance Credit Card reviews (135)

Review of the Jaja Finance, Credit Card:

Very easy and responsible credit card provider

5
So far nothing but a positive experience with a Jaja credit card. Main point is that it just works (as a credit card should!). But the setup makes it easy to use the card well, from direct debit payments, the ability to freeze the card, notifications about spending and balance management, and the application process. And of course in-app approvals of online spends, Reviewed on: 24th May 2024

Escaped at last

My reviews at length are on Trust Pilot. Suffice to say I had a call from Daniel- ex Bank of Ireland, now trying his best having been taken over by JaJa. He promised transfer of the positive balance (refunded cancelled flight costs) by the following day. It actually happened. £717.40 now in my current account and never having to deal with this Fred Karno (I'm old) team of clowns ever again. The CEO was ex Barclays, he jumped ship and handed over to a Nicholas Aspinall. His cv on Companies House Directorships makes interesting reading. TaTa to JaJa. The Norwegian risk takers paid £500 million to destroy in six months what the Bank of Ireland had built up over decades. Reviewed on: 3rd February 2021

Horrific

Still can’t access my account online or through app. Got through to them, they said they had no way of telling how long it would be. We are months later, still no accesss, just a monthly direct debit payment with no idea about remaining balance etc. So basically can’t see my own finances. Go nowhere near this company!!! Stay well away. Use any other card company! Anyone. Reviewed on: 28th January 2021

This Company is dangerous keep away !!!!!!!!

I am now free of this obnoxious set up, they will cause dismay, worry and stress for some poor individuals that are unfortunately locked in for a time.Contact watch dog. go to the press or even better still........... Martin Lewis and the Finacial Ombudsman. Reviewed on: 23rd January 2021

Problematic app, poor service, rude / arrogant customer service team

1
This mob took over from the Post Office and turned a perfectly good credit card offering into a nightmare. Credit card app is extremely poor, takes days and sometimes weeks for transactions to appear (no excuse in this day & age). Customer services were just rude and failed to close my account when requested to do so, ended up writing to the CEO just to close an account. If you need a credit card, I would suggest you try any other company first. Reviewed on: 22nd January 2021

STEER CLEAR of this one!

1
Atrocious! Would not recommend!! Only ended up with this c.c because the Post Office moved its credit card business onto them. My problem was I chose not to activate their card and opted to clear my balance. I genuinely feel for the Customer Service Advisors as they are pleasant and try to be helpful, but they work for shylocks of the worst kind!!!! Reviewed on: 20th January 2021

Atrocious

Literally the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. They keep surprising me with how clueless and pathetic they are. Doesn’t deserve to stay in business Reviewed on: 19th January 2021

The worst experience ever from any financial institution! Keep well away!

1
Even though I put 1* this company does not deserve that. My credit card services were transferred from the Post Office Credit card. Worst experience ever . Could not register. Customer service is appallingly and pathetic. I cut the card in to pieces and put in the bin before getting in to more trouble! The company should be really ashamed of their incompetence in providing even a miniscule of services. I do not know how they are allowed to operate in UK. Reviewed on: 17th January 2021

JaJa Credit Card- What a shambles

1
Cant believe the Sheer incompetence of JaJa Finance.. Customer services non-existent, Website registration does not work, Emails sent never get a response. Have made official complaint to the Ombudsman for what its worth. Do not deal with this amateur, pathetic embarrassing Company. Unfit for purpose and should not be allowed to continue trading. One star out of Ten is way too much. Reviewed on: 16th January 2021

An abomination

Receiving a one-star review, this company should be over the moon. One-star is a gross overestimation of JAJA's value as a credit provider. A more accurate rating would be far below zero. I never applied for, nor requested, nor approved of having an account or credit card with JAJA. I was automatically transferred from my Post Office account – and it is seemingly impossible to close the account. I have spent untold hours on hold, I still receive emails demanding payments on an account I'm told has been closed. I get text messages saying my card has been activated – by whom? I have never received a JAJA credit card in the post. I'm beginning to become very worried that this company will damage my credit score because of their total ineptitude. Whatever you do – never get yourself tangled up with this company. All of the negative reviews on here paint a similar picture to what I have experienced. What a sh*tshow. Clustershambles

Like many only realized I was moved from the excellent Bank of Ireland CC when things started to go wonky. When payment didn't come out of my account as normal for the full balance, I paid. Then they took it out automatically a second time. I got one payment back by asking my bank to get it, then JaJa said they sent the second payment back also, but my bank said it didn't arrive. Then Jaja said I should pay the balance a 3rd time! The following month, no payment came out automatically, but they added that 3rd payment on it seemed and penalties for not paying! Long talks with their customer service, got back to the correct amount to pay which I paid immediately. They then said if I paid my bill due the end of December, they told me the amount to pay, that they would not also take out by direct debit, but again they did, double payment. This emptied my current account meaning other direct debits bounced. I also got a big refund in December which I want back in my current account, but now can't access my Jaja account, the login no longer works to find out what is going on. I need that before going down the rabbit hole of their customer service. First time writing a complaint about a company. Can't wait to extricate myself from this mess of a company - steer clear of this Cluster****! Reviewed on: 6th January 2021
