Standing out in front...!!!

I have four buy to let mortgages with the Leek. The application process was very simple, with advise all the way. It is also so simple at renewal time, everything is taken care of and any questions answered promptly. I have had experiences with many lenders, but the Leek United stands out in front of them all. Customer service is very accessible, quick responses and its great to be able to speak to a person. Online is pretty basic but gives information required. Changes to interest rate drops are very slow but this might be across the board. Selected due to good rates and would do again. Reviewed on: 14th January 2025

Wanted a buy to let mortgage..

Just the right level of service.

I took out my Tracker mortgage with Leek United in 2007 and it proved to be the right decision, both financially and from a service perspective. The choice of a Tracker mortgage, worked in my favour in the earlier years, but also made me effectively overpay when the interest rates dropped. Service-wise Leek United have it just right, with minimal but appropriate communication, avoiding any unwanted 'Sales' type mailshots or electronic materials. Reviewed on: 13th January 2025

First time buyers

Myself and my husband were recently first time buyers so everything felt very overwhleming however we absolutley didnt need to feel like this as Leek building society were approachable and easy to use. All documents were dealt with fast and any questions were answered promptly, we had no issues at all. Leek building society made a very scary and stressful time much easier!
