Fabulous service from St Edward Street Branch

I opened my 2nd savings account with Leek United yesterday and the service was second to none. The transaction was seamless and I would not hesitate in recommending them to friends and family. Reviewed on: 1st July 2022

Poor rates, poor service.

Poor rates, poor service. Lack of operatives to take calls in business hours. This society appears to live in a self congratulatory bubble. They need to understand they are not special, not good and start with the basics. Anything else is akin to narcissism. Reviewed on: 28th January 2025

Leek Derby Street

I can not fault the team at leek derby street branch today. They were so attentive and supportive whilst dealing with my family bereavement. They made a very difficult time a lot easier and went above and beyond to ensure everything was handled in the correct way. Excellent building society

Leek united building society always has excellent savings accounts which always suit my needs. Going into local branches is easy and the staff are always friendly. Reviewed on: 25th January 2025

Not bad for a local building society.

Started saving for a specific reason and decided to try out this local building society. It was a fast process to get my savings account set up. Not as fast as the national organisations but still fairly good. Online web app is very basic, would of been great in 2010, but honestly it's simple and not overcomplicated and actually I quite like that. An actual app for android/iphone, rather than a web app would be way more secure and easier though. I like the security's of the memorable word, but I still think 2 factor authentication needs to be implemented via a code sent to smartphone. Major flaw: Money doesn't show in savings account when deposited straight away, leaving your cash in limbo for a few hours until it shows. This is very different to most savings accounts that show up instantly. This always makes you a tad nervous when you deposit. I do like the fact you can withdraw money both in person and online.
