Dreadful bank with no sense of Loyalty to customers

I was with Lloyds for 35 years, during which time I tried to leave on myriad occasions, but was persuaded to stay each time, as they appealed to my sense of loyalty. Then one day without any explanation, they closed my account. I complained and ask for explanation, but the only one I got was that it had to do with my other nationality (I'm Persian by birth). They really are the worst bank I've ever had the misfortune of banking with. Reviewed on: 17th May 2016

Never gone anywhere else

Easy and convenient

Basic services no interest given

Average and Average

No special rates or facilities here, just a reduced overdraft since Lloyds dropped it's TSB partner. High tariff just for being slightly overdrawn (£6) and high interest rates. One feels they are getting their money back form bad loans and a recession started overseas...disgusting. Customer Service is OK and I like the new quick deposit machines.All very average however otherwise. Reviewed on: 21st April 2016

Difficult to leave

I previously used Lloyds as my secondary current account, however I decided to close my account after I decided their product no longer suited me. In order to close the account and retrieve my remaining funds I had to visit the bank itself, where the representative I spoke to really made it hard for me to claim back my money (not sure why it couldn't just be given to me on the spot, it just seemed overly awkward). As this was a few years back I'm hoping their customer service has improved since. Reviewed on: 28th March 2016

Lazy Customer Serivce in Call Centre

I moved house almost three years ago, and changed my bank address at the time. When I didn't receive a new bank card this January, when my old one expired, I called up Lloyds and they promptly cancelled the card and issued a new one. I asked to check my address, and they confirmed it was correct. Two weeks later, no card. I called again, and this time the guy checked my address and said it had never been updated properly. Almost three years ago, somebody updated my residential address but didn't think to update my mailing address. I then had to go into branch to change my address and re-order my bank card. I was told each time my PIN wouldn't change, but when the new card finally arrived, it had a new PIN number. Overall, lazy service. Reviewed on: 28th March 2016
