A serious design fault with comparison sites...

There is a serious design fault with comparison sites where the consumer is encouraged to leave feedback shortly after buying a product or a service. It’s impossible for them to comment on long term durability or quality which is important. Inevitably, leaving a one, two or three star rating is then the consumers only option unless they choose to give no star rating at all. Otherwise the star rating is misleading. Sneaky bonus that ends half way!

I opened a 24 month regular saver account. The interest rate included a bonus, but it only lasts for the first year, so it's one of those sneaky accounts where you have to remember to close it once the bonus rate ends otherwise you earn tuppence. Reviewed on: 16th January 2026
