Disgusting and absolutely unacceptable customer serv...

Disgusting and absolutely unacceptable customer service! Purchased Marshmallow insurance ,provided all of the required proof of address and etc,had it for around two weeks. Through the live chat(as they don't even have a number where you can call) confirmed that everything is fine and my car is insured and I can drive now safely,charged me £349.06 for the first payment,and then sent me a text that I did not provide them proof of address (thanks god I made a screenshots confirming that I did it!) This company gave a time till midnight to provide them document and if not they will cancel my policy ,I spent whole day of my holiday to upload documents again and it was keep showing "upload failed",therefore I contacted live chat AGAIN and no one responded and assisted me ,they just cancelled my policy! Also tried to sent many emails with official complaint-no one cares! P.S they also did not bother to give me my money back ,but in the app it says they refunded part of it :) which is absolute lie ! 0 stars,worst experience ever!! Avoid Marshmallow Insurance

I had an absolutely dreadful experience with Marshmallow Insurance. After my car was damaged in an accident, I filed a claim expecting a straightforward process. Despite providing all the necessary documentation and evidence, my claim was denied without a valid reason. It felt like they were actively looking for any excuse to avoid paying out. To make matters worse, communication was a nightmare. I tried reaching out multiple times via phone and email, but my attempts were mostly ignored. When I finally got through to someone, they were unhelpful and dismissive. It was clear that resolving my issue was not a priority for them. One specific incident that stands out is when I was promised a call back from a claims manager within 48 hours. That call never came, and when I followed up, I was told that there was no record of my previous conversation. This level of incompetence and lack of accountability is unacceptable. Marshmallow Insurance seems to specialize in finding reasons to deny claims, even when they are clearly at fault. If you want to avoid losing your hard-earned money and dealing with a company that doesn't care about its customers, look elsewhere. Reviewed on: 18th February 2025

Never use Marshmallow

I was more or less forced to use them when moving from Somerset to Buckinghamshire. The entire experience was fraught & expensive. They have no proper staff & their app is irritating in the extreme. It was an interim insurance, & I would have been penalised had I changed insurer within the first year. As it was I paid monthly at double what I was paying in Somerset. I moved to Cumbria in July 2024 & my year is up at the end of February. I have renewed at 64% less with a sensible solid insurer but extracting yourself from Marshmallow is a nightmare. They use the old scam of repeat debit card premium collections, notoriously difficult to cancel. Everything is slick marketing & a concerted effort to wear your down. Quite the worst car insurer I have ever dealt with- luckily I never had to claim (& never have claimed on car insurance in 50 years of driving) since the complaints about their claims procedures are legion. WARNING: DO NOT PURCHASE INSURANCE FROM MARSHMALLOW

I’ve been with Marshmallow Insurance for over 3 years, never made a claim, and always kept my MOT up to date. However, after I was involved in a car accident, they completely failed me. After reporting the accident, it took them 15 days to provide me with an engineer’s report, and when I asked for the full report to understand what happened, they refused to give it to me. Instead, they just told me the issue was my tyres. Once my policy was cancelled, they provided no support whatsoever. I had no idea where my car was, and they only gave me unreachable contact details for a third-party engineer. I had to spend hours calling different garages and scrap metal companies just to figure out what to do. Marshmallow left me alone, stressed, and completely unsupported in a time when I needed help most. On top of that, they refused to refund the unused portion of my premium and charged me cancellation fees. All of this while they failed to provide me with the guidance I needed to resolve the situation. If you’re thinking about going with Marshmallow for your insurance, DON’T. They may seem like a good deal at first, but when things go wrong, you’ll be left high and dry with no help. This is by far the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Your life is in danger with Marshmallow

People DO NOT GO FOR MARSHMALLOW. They will offer you cheap insurance to hunt you when you are vulnerable the most. But it will cost you more in the future. My partner was at the accident, nearly died at the accident place. Marshmallow set up us at fault even third party waited a fault confirmation statement. They robbed my NCD, all of them even this was my 1st claim in my life. They only paid value of the crashed car. Nothing more even we had adds -on. They stated that at the fault theybare unable to do more.Contact with them is confusing as only when app downloaded . Agents are not professional, they put us through another agent and another and another. Days and months wasted. None of them said same what another. Changes were not made to claim or policy. It's a black hole. They expected me to quit but I have made complains, they came back to me once threating me if I don't answer in 6hrs then I will be unable to proceed with complaint. At the end they never resolved a 1 single thing. SCAMMERS. Your life is not worthy to waste time or feed them. Avoid for your own peace and life. Reviewed on: 10th January 2025
