AVOID AT ALL COST

I had to change my insurance as my previous one was canceled and their price was the lowest on GoCompare so stupidly I went for it. They asked me for proof of why my insurance was canceled and details and I sent everything within a day. They gave me 7 days to reply. They responded 4 days later. Canceled my insurance, gave me until midnight to find another insurer when they canceled at 18:20. No phone lines. No one responded on chat. No communication . 130£ cancelation fee. And they accused me of fraud when I sent them all the necessary documents and completed the information fairly. They are scammers avoid them Reviewed on: 19th November 2024

I couldnt send any documents through app so i asked them to email me ...ive sent the documents through...they just sent me an email they will cancel my policy...as i work night and i have a kid im not on my phone 24/7 so 2 days they give me and bam cancelled my insurance. because my documents where not fit or whatever ...dont get this insurance they will cancel on any chance they have was paying them 246 a month aswell Reviewed on: 3rd February 2024

Trying to help a Ukrainian

Trying to help a Ukrainian whom we hosted I took out a motor policy for him. He has returned to Ukraine, does not speak English, is uncontactible and is not returning to UK. I cannot get Marshmallow to cancel his policy, cant speak to anyone on this matter and the keep billing him monthly since we sold his car in November. Marshmallow have taken out the new increased January payment and say he has to authorise the cancellation of policy - Marshmallow cant think out of the box - do they just continue billing him. My car was stolen.

My car was stolen. I feel like a criminal not a victim of crime. They never respond to your emails, it’s a shocking company. I would never recommend them to anyone! Trying to find every which way not to pay, it’s stressful and ongoing. Please look elsewhere for car insurance, if I’d seen these reviews first I would never have used them. Lesson learned. Bad company keep well away

Can't contact by phone only email. Won't answer emails takes around 3 attempts. Had car cover but because mine was stolen its void, want me to pay 26% of tge claim because I have 2 houses and insured the car at the address where it is kept. Keep away people Reviewed on: 29th January 2024

Would have given zero stars if there was an option. Given the experiences pf most other customers I can only assume the good reviews about them are AI generated or fake altogether. The service and they way they treated me as a customer is appalling to say the least, how do they manage to operate freely in the insurers market is beyond me. The response, the timing it takes to get through to someone, the lack of a number to speak to an actual person makes it even worse. Pay up a little more ( assuming they are the cheapest anyway) and go to a proper insurer, you will not regret it Reviewed on: 20th January 2024

No customers service, unable to talk to anyone and when you do you can’t make any changes to the policy and they won’t explain why. Probably the worst insurer I’ve ever dealt with. Reviewed on: 15th January 2024

Customer Service Non-Existant

You can't talk to anyone over the phone - App chat only where you will be waiting 4 hours+ for anyone to reply. Absolutely useless once you get through and no one wants to assist. Imagine you are asking for an update on a claim but can't, no idea whats occuring with your car etc. They are no help god forbid you have any accidents or claims even if they aren't your fault. Couldn't reccomend a company less. Although cheap, there is a reason for that! AVOID the stress! Reviewed on: 12th January 2024

Accident with Marshmallow Customer

Didn't have a choice but had to deal with them. Customer Service and Communication is not existing. Had an accident with one of their customers mid November 2023 Marshmallow Customer 100% at fault. Initial contact from Marshmallow with offer of courtesy car was great but had no contact with them since and even though you are provided with phone numbers you can't get through (trust me I tried 30+ times), no response on chatbot via website or email. Only contact I had was to the 3rd party dealer S&G. Took 10 days to tell me my car is a write off (my insurance done this on the day of the accident). Payment pay out agreed and car was picked up to scrap the day after. Now you think ok only a few days until you get paid you money. No way it took 6+ weeks and so many chases via me and S&G and still no reply. Only a threatening letter to get the Financial Ombudsman and Lawyer involved sprung them into action. All in all it took 2 months from the accident to the money hitting my account. Marshmallow will have to pay enterprise 3k+ for the courtesy car. Avoid if you can at all cost.
