I was completing my tax return and spent sometime trying to locate the usual annual savings interest statement from the Society. It was only when I telephones for a copy that I learnt one had not been sent. Could you please send me a statement for the current tax year when available. Thanks. Reviewed on: 25th September 2024

Appalling service

I am trying to get a password to enable me to operate my account online. I find this a cumbersome and unnecessary procedure, made worse by my inability to ever get through on your Head Office phone number 01664414141. I have many accounts with a variety of building societies and banks and have never been asked to phone for a password. I have tried ringing several times at different times of the day and always get the message that we are busy ( SO ARE YOUR CUSTOMERS!) and we will ring you back. But of course I am not here when you ring back , so I have to start the process again. I should add that your menu asks 'press 1 for savings , 2 for mortgages etc etc, but having pressed 1 for savings , the menu then repeats itself and it's only on my third attempt that I get through to savings, only to be told you are busy. What should be a simple procedure has become a Kafkaesque nightmare. I wish to make a formal complaint. I think this level of service ( or lack of) is not acceptable.
