Monzo offer a free bank account for under 16s, with controls set by their parent or guardian.

Kids get their own neon card and can see their money in the Monzo app. Parents or Guardians can keep an eye on the account, set spending limits and schedule pocket money.

The monzo app is made for today's convenience and makes room for tomorrow's technology need. It js super smart and easy to use. There is a lot yiu can do on your own without contacting customer care. Brilliant app making it easy to ise all of their servuces especially managing the kids account conveniently. Reviewed on: 6th March 2026

Only bank that allowed my son to use his preferred name

The only bank that allowed my son to use his preferred name on his card. Cannot express how important this was and is for us. We also loved the pots and the easy transfer between parent and child account. We are so very grateful for this service. Reviewed on: 6th March 2026

My 3 kids love the freedom and we love the convenience

I have under 16 accounts for 3 of my children and they are seamless to use and offer us up so much financial convenience and security for them. We use it for all birthday and pocket money and they love having the freedom to pop to the shop or order online managing their own finances. Reviewed on: 6th March 2026

I love Monzo, the app is so easy and convenient to navigate. I control my children’s money and get live updates on what they’re spending and where. I just can’t fault anything about Monzo. This is the best bank I have ever used. Reviewed on: 6th March 2026
