Monzo offer a free bank account for under 16s, with controls set by their parent or guardian.

Kids get their own neon card and can see their money in the Monzo app. Parents or Guardians can keep an eye on the account, set spending limits and schedule pocket money.

Excellent for kids accounts.

Excellent for kids accounts.i have automated their pocket money from a pot it gets sorted from my salary into a pot monthly then distributed weekly to the kids without me doing anything. They both have internet bearing savings pots, a good app and a card. Reviewed on: 6th March 2026

Absolutely love Monzo kids.

Absolutely love Monzo kids. They have the freedom to manage their own money and responsibility using the app but I have the peace of mind that all transactions are linked to the parent account to keep an eye on their spending. It’s so easy to send them money via my app and to share the link with family who want to send them money as there is no sort code and account number for kids accounts. They can also set up their own savings pots and manage these as they like. I recommend these to everyone Reviewed on: 6th March 2026

Excellent account for my 2 children

Both my children have Monzo, allows them to manage their own money with saving pots. there are no charges for this account in comparison to other under 16s. the parental controls are excellent, allowing me to have full visibility of their spending. Reviewed on: 6th March 2026
