About this product

Monzo offer a free bank account for under 16s, with controls set by their parent or guardian.

Kids get their own neon card and can see their money in the Monzo app. Parents or Guardians can keep an eye on the account, set spending limits and schedule pocket money.

Best free Under 16s account with so many features

Recently made an under 16s for our 10 year old and he started using new feathers like pots and smily responses immediately. Aside from nice user friendly features, the ability for him to have his own totally free cureent account is god send. Reviewed on: 21st March 2026

I set up these for my two children just to help them learn a little about money saving and looking after there cards. It really was the easiest set up ever. I love that you can link different adult accounts to the under 16s account, transfer money easy for birthdays pocket money ect. I asked my two children what they liked about it the most they said that they could choose their own cards and see exactly how much money they have and where it's come from. The only thing they asked to update. They wished there could be more of a selection of the colour/themes of cards. Purples/rainbows space/gamers Reviewed on: 21st March 2026
