Financial literacy for my child

Children's Bank Account has helped my son gain financial literacy and encouraged saving for the things he wants to do. The app is simple to understand and allows people to send money to him directly for special occasions. He really loves the cartoon dog personality. Monzo also allow API connectivity so we can show his savings goals on a smart screen we have mounted on the wall to continually remind him how well he's doing. It's a shame it doesn't have it's own account number and sort code but other than that its a great tool. Reviewed on: 9th February 2026

Perfect for our needs

No charge for accounts and links to both parents account; so easy to send money and you can take it back too!!!! Reviewed on: 9th February 2026

The Under 16 account is great, very easy to set up, and very useful to manage the entire family accounts from the app — specially if your main bank account is Monzo. It still lacks some features such as more controls for the co-guardian, and the ability to create challenges for the children. However, it's still very robust and easy to use.
