Life-changing

Switching from a trad bank to Monzo 5 years ago was one of the best decisions I ever made. My finances have transformed from being in debt, to having an emergency fund, a deposit for a house and a little extra saved away. Easy to use, accessible and customer-centric, Monzo were a breath of fresh air. Now my husband has an account, we have a joint account, and a business account. I made the mistake of opening a business account with a competitor, resulting in unnecessary stress. My only criticism is that the innovation seems to have halted. I'd like to see them venture into new areas, as Revolut has. Reviewed on: 11th April 2023

I got locked out my account for no apparent reason,...

Absolutely love Monzo, it's a game-changer!

Love pretty much everything about Monzo, having used them since 2018. Amazing app, beautiful UI and makes everything super easy. Love the fee-free international card payments (initially why I joined). Support is an absolute game-changer (no phone calls & helpful in-app chat with a way nicer UX). Also love other handy features like pots, notifications, bill splitting, early salary payments and sending money to other Monzo users (without bank details). Also being able to view all older transactions and more flexibility with generating statements. Funny seeing the legacy banks suddenly play catch-up now while Monzo rapidly gains customers. However, I only use the free plan since I personally struggle to see the value in the paid plans. Another thing is that I still have to use my legacy bank for cheques - if Monzo supported that it's another reason not to have to use a legacy bank. Reviewed on: 15th April 2025
