AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I have been with More Than Smart Wheels for 3 years, have no claims at all and a +7.0 driver score, but they increased my bill from £625 to £825 blaming it on the pandemic and saying I live in a bad area. EXUSE ME?? I have proof I am a very sensible road user and this is how you reward me?????? I was also quoted £550 by Admiral... WITHOUT A BLACK BOX!!!
Also my 'rewards card' with over £120 on it never arrived in the post so I lost all that.

Had a telematics policy with them for 1 year, during which time i had one accident that was judged to be non-fault and was entirely settled by the 3rd party. I was re-assured that my no claims discount would be unaffected and yet upon cancellation i was sent a document stating that i had 0 years NCD with them. I was also lied to about a renewal quote, the customer service rep i spoke to was insistent that one had been sent to my email address but i received no such thing - they then went ahead and renewed the policy anyway. Finally, after cancellation of the policy i logged in to the dashboard and found that the black box was still recording journeys after the cancellation date of the policy! I would advise anybody thinking of taking out a policy with More Than to stay well clear.

I would strongly urge anyone considering taking out a vehicle insurance policy with More Than / RSA to go elsewhere. I was a named driver on a company policy where the limited company was the owner, registered keeper and policyholder. The vehicle was stolen from the company's registered business address overnight, and all I did , was report the theft on behalf of the limited company. Everything appeared fine until I tried to renew my personal insurance, where I found that RSA had put me on the CUE check list as the "driver" of the limited company vehicle, and that I had an "at fault" claim. On complaining to RSA, they said that the last driver should have been asked for, and that on theft they log the last driver as the named driver responsible. I clearly explained that the last driver was unknown, had not been asked for, and there was no legal text anywhere in the Terms and Conditions to state the last driver would be held responsible on theft. I escalated my complaint with RSA, and even involved the CEO, Mr Stephen Hester, but their final response denied my complaint, stating that it "appeared" I was the last person in charge of the company vehicle, and that policy wording would not specifically state the last driver will be logged as the named driver on theft. They then go on to state the personal information posted about me on the CUE system is factually correct. My understanding of contract law is everything must be in the Terms and Conditions at the inception of business, not something that can be altered or made up by one party as the contract goes along to suit their ends. When the last driver or driver in charge is not specifically given or asked for, and although RSA may want it to "appear" that they have determined who that individual may have been to suit their "procedures", it most certainly cannot be deemed to be "factual". RSA have effectively made two entities financially responsible for one incident, which only the policyholder should be held liable for. The ramifications of this are horrendous for every last driver / in charge individual of a vehicle insured by RSA on theft, where the vehicle is owned, registered and the policyholder is another person or company. I will be checking every vehicle I drive in the future that it is not insured by RSA, and will never do business of any kind with them again, as their "procedures" are created to cause as much financial damage as possible to their customers. My complaint is now with the Financial Ombudsman.

These morons took my deposit when i cancelled the insurance my self due to running out of miles and being quotes £850 for 1000 more miles which is silly! I was 17 at the time and they really need to ask themselves what 17 year old is capable of paying almost a grand every 1000 miles?

The score system was stupid couldn't even do 30 mph without getting a bad score. Not to mention the usage! As a young driver, having your license is a sense of freedom to the start of an independent life. It is normal to go out frequently or to just go for a drive. I mean come on now that's why i paid 2.8k, TO USE MY VEHICLE TO DRIVE! This company is absolutely pathetic!

When i had cancelled my insurance due to the reason above i did not get a single penny of my deposit back one bit! Total conniving thieves. How do you sleep at night scamming young drivers in the UK? Young people who struggle with finances; totally ripping them off, stripping away their minimum income. When i had tried to make another quote after cancellation i strongly believe they blacklisted my details on the database that insurance companies use to run previous records of your driving. Just so i could struggle searching for insurance again? How low could you really go?

Forgot to mention they gave me two strikes for doing an alleged "3" mph over the speed limit which is absolutely fine according to the law! As according to ACPO guidelines the prosecuted limit is the speed limit plus 10 per cent plus 2mph, which means normally cases are only dealt with when the speed is 35mph and above. I was doing 33 guys!

I have been with Morethan over 10 years for my pet insurance. My insurance has jumped for 40% from last year they said due to the 3 claims I made over the years and each claims were less than £100 I got back. I am now paying £80 per month to get coverage. Recently, my cat needed to go for emergency with the pre existing condition which should be covered, but they refused my claims. What is the point to pay for insurance that doesn't cover??? Thats very bad practise and FCA should really look into pet insurances.

I have been with more than for years. Every year the month cost has gone up. I accepted this as part of my dogs age. But this year it went up from just over £50 a month to £74. I said enough is enough. I called up as I was moving house too. I was moving 2 streets away. They told me it was to go up again because of the post code I was moving to. More people make a claim from the new post code. So I would have to pay even more now. I complained and stated I have never made a claim so why should I be penalised? They agreed after some persuasion. They agreed to give me a £150 annual discount. Bringing my bill to £63 per month. I wasn’t happy but because I was moving I just agreed. The next month £270 was taken from my account. I complained again and again, sent them statements from the bank. They just didn’t understand what the problem was. Eventually it came down to them setting up another policy without letting me know. They only ever refunded me £24.95 and two lost of £50 as compensation for my trouble. I was so fed up with this I just sent a few e-mails of cancellation. They agreed to this and I was in my way. Goodbye Morethan!! Until TODAY!! They have sent me a letter asking for £639.10 for my years subscription!! What the hell is going on!! How can a company such as this have such a high level of incompetence? This time I am not going to let this go.

I’m in tear’s writing this, we cancelled are pet insurance dew to the coronavirus 26th March, I had a e-mail from them telling me it was cancelled as of the 1st April and found out today they STOLE £220.00 out of my account on the 2nd April, I have no money for my shopping and worst still no money to feed my self isolating mother who is 85.

We’re all in the same boat but more than are PIRATES….Shame on them !!!!!!

I made the admin error of emailing them the wrong doc to verify my no-claims bonus. Their token attempt at sorting out the problem was neither to send one single email or make one single phone call. They posted a letter that I missed and my goose was well and truly cooked. They cancelled my insurance and refunded me the remaining months and refused to allow me to send the missing doc and have me back with them. Now every insurance company wants to overcharge me because I have been refused by one of their mates- regardless of the reason. Their policy was cheap- and so was their service- which has ended up being very expensive for the rest of my car-insuring days. Avoid!

Morethan are a scam company that tried to over double my renewal price to £3000. They take advantage of young drivers and their customer service is useless. Its like speaking to a brick wall.

They also scammed me of my no claims bonus and paid out someone on a claim where i was not at fault.

Save your self the hassle and avoid this company for insurance.

I’m not one for leaving bad reviews but More Than are the most frustrating company I’ve ever had to deal with. I made the mistake of choosing them for pet insurance and have had issues since day one. Firstly they noted my cat’s DOB down wrong, stating he was a year older than he actually is. When I queried it, they stated it was my fault as I told them the incorrect date during our initial telephone conversation. I requested to hear the recording of this initial conversation as I had no memory of giving the wrong date. They fobbed me off for months saying they were looking for the recording and every time I phoned up to chase it, they said no request had been made but they would put it through this time. Finally, I was told that they’d found the recording, listened back to it and that it was my fault. I said, fine but please send me a copy of the recording so I could hear it for myself. First they said they would but again I never heard back. Then when I chased it, they changed their minds and said I couldn’t have access to the recording. Combine this with the fact that they’ve tried to hike up prices by about £150 each time for the last two years even though my cat is only 4 and I’ve never put in any kind of claim, I’ve decided not to waste any more time on them. I’ve already wasted more than enough. I certainly would never use More Than for anything going forward and I’ll go as far as actively dissuading anyone I know from using them either. Avoid at all costs.

As a new young driver I took up the cheapest insurance which was more than smart wheels.
To be honest, I can’t fault them for anything such as cancellations like others. My only fault with the ‘useage’ with the useage I just assumed it was just a curfew but later discovered you can only stop and start your car 6 times in 24 hours, you are also not allowed to drive long journeys, I got stuck in traffic one day after work coming home from my 25 minute journey took an hour and one minute to be exact and my useage score took the hit
Curfew is 11pm to 5am which is better than most boxes.

Speed tbh they let me go like 10mph over before marking me down
Smoothness, couldn’t fault that and I’m not the best drivers, I question how I passed daily hah

My only reason for cancelling was the useage as I like going on long journeys in the summer, and the 6 times stop and starting my car wasn’t convenient for me but if it is for you, I would recommend the box if you don’t mind the useable requirements
