More than by name more than by premiums

I took out a policy for our pup £28pm. Three years later renewal quote £2500. Many many others have written about same issue. I was lucky to be able to move our other two dogs to oetplan when more than started to outrageously hike their premiums few years ago. They wanted £200 pm for the two. Petplan for same policy was £75 pm now three years on paying £100pm for both despite claims. Unfortunately pup was diagnosed with lifelong illness. So stuck with More than. They try to deny premiums are outrageous claiming breed, choice of vet and area where we live. Nonsense as all three of our dogs are Lhasa’s, live in same home in same area and attend same vet. It is ultimately the poor animals that will suffer as this company outprice to get rid of non profitable customers. Please please avoid Reviewed on: 9th January 2023

Premium nearly Doubled in a Year

I have not claimed on my policy and it increased from £592.34 to £997.17 in 12 months. Shame on you no wonder people cannot afford their pets, you are a disgrace and a smear on pet insurance I am now with pet plan which is cheaper than my last year’s premium. SCAM!

Should be called 'More Trouble' rather than 'More Than'!

I attempted to insure two GSD dogs. I got a quote and tried to pay in a single instalment but the system would not accept my payment, stating that my address that the card is registered to is not the address to where the dogs are going to be living. I rang and explained that I was about to move, hence the differing addresses. The operative would not process my transaction insisting that I did this online. I changed the address where the dogs where going to live to where the card is registered (As I was told to do) but the system still wouldn't work - I tried a further two times online to get the wretched thing to work, so I rang again and by this time in five days the cost of the cover had gone up and the operative I spoke to said there was nothing she could do apart from to log a complaint. Do not go with them

They refused to cover my pets because I was not able to book an appointment during covid. They have extremely high monthly costs and will find any way to not cover your cost. The customer care over the phone was appalling they laughed when I was explaining my circumstances and could not care for you or the pet. They have no loyalty despite being a customer of 8 years. Please pick a different insurance company. I wish I did better research or even just viewed these reviews. Reviewed on: 21st January 2023

OUTRAGEOUS RENEWAL PREMIUMS & THEY KNOW IT

HAD A POLICY FOR TWO DOGS FROM BIRTH NOW 6 AND 4, ONE CLAIM. PREMIUM STEADILY RISEN TO NEARLY £130 PER MONTH, ONE SMALL CLAIM (WELL UNDER £1000) MADE DURING THIS TIME FOR ONE OF THE DOGS. PREMIUM JUMPED ANOTHER 50% THIS YEAR IN ONE GO. WISH I HAD NEVER SIGNED UP WITH THEM AND WILL NEVER DO SO AGAIN. RENEWAL COMES WITH LOAD OF GUNF AROUND, 'AS DOGS AGE ETC' - I UNDERSTAND THEY ARE NOT IN IT TO MAKE MONEY BUT THEY TAKE THE xxxxx AVOID AT ALL COSTS Reviewed on: 30th December 2022

5 star service been with them for years

Never had to claim before however Our 7 year old cocker spaniel suddenly took unwell around 3 weeks ago diagnosed with disc damage had to have emergency surgery which was shocking to hear but the vet dealt with everything for us and more than paid out nearly £6,000 no problems and have advised me to charge for anything else related to the claim ie medication or further treatment as my insurance is not due up for review until April and our boy has premium cover up to 12,000. What a relief ! I was so scared after reading bad reviews that we would have a problem with the pay out but more than settled within the week of the claim being made without any hassle I didn’t even speak to anyone the vet done it all Fantastic service would highly recommend Reviewed on: 25th October 2022

Saved my furbaby

Recently got a new kitten named floki who I adore, they helped me set up my premium insurance, gave me help and numbers and allowed me to have 24hour contact to a vets who helped him with some dietary issues! Reviewed on: 16th August 2022
