A great small building society

NBS is a great small old fashioned building society with a flexible approach to lending. Our family have 3 mortgages -- personal and business loans. We have also found the service to be friendly and competent and the outcomes excellent. Would highly recommend Reviewed on: 4th January 2018

First time buyers

As first time buyers purchasing a shared ownership home the process felt quite daunting. Thankfully the team made everything easy! The paperwork was straightforward and didn’t feel jargon-y. We had swift responses via email and phone for any of our queries. Reviewed on: 13th January 2025

Friendly, helpful and professional service.

My mortgage advisor Lauren Dearlive was both helpful and knowledgeable. She helped guide me to understand the current mortgage options that were available for me, she also passed me onto her colleague, Simon Dawson - Allen who was as equally helpful and efficient with explaining further options of help and support. Remortgage with Newbury BS

I applied to remortgage with Newbury BS through a broker. The process was straightforward and thorough as I would expect. There was a delay due to one department not informing the underwriter that all the information requested had been submitted by me. However once informed the underwriter responded within 24 hours. I received a message from Newbury BS stating that if I wanted to complete the transaction earlier than planned this would be possible which was a great help. No solicitors required so no additional costs. Excellent service despite the short delay of one week. Reviewed on: 30th December 2024
