Great Customer Care

Great customer service and friendly service. Only took a few stars off due to there being a fee of £20 for any extra copies of a redemption statement, whereas other high street lenders don't always charge. Other than that, very happy. Reviewed on: 7th February 2020

Moving away from mortgage with NBS

Our mortgages has been with the newbury building society for the last 3 years. Unfortunately, we found a more competitive rate elsewhere for our remortgage,. There were a number of hitches moving our mortgaged and with the conveyancing (none due to the newbury) and the staff at NBS were enormously helpful, and were paramount to getting it finally over the line. I can't fault the service we have received in the last 3 years, and if it wasn't for the more competitive rate, we definitely wouldn't have moved! Reviewed on: 24th January 2020

Mortgage application

Newbury were extremely helpful and professional in arranging a mortgage. They were cognisant of my particular financial and employment circumstances which had led other financial institutions - including HSBC my bank for 40 years - to reject my mortgage application. Reviewed on: 24th January 2020

Very thorough, responsive and helpful through the process.

Arranged via a broker who liased with NBS. When dealing personally with NBS I found the people to be very helpful, friendly and professional. NBS made every effort to ensure the deadline for remortgage was achieved. Many thanks Reviewed on: 18th January 2020

Nice people, poor processes

Good initial support and advice followed by slow, bureaucratic and painful financial decision making. Just glad they didn't opt to take the kidney, lung and urine samples I was beginning to expect. Reviewed on: 17th January 2020
