Local and friendly approach

Friendly and helpful

Easy Process, friendly staff

We were really overwhelmed with the thought of buying a house after hearing all the horror stories. Newbury have amazing customer service who are always happy to help which has made the process really easy. The only problem i have is there is no ability to digitally submit documents which can slightly slow the process down. Reviewed on: 27th September 2019

Mortgage

Very helpful and easy to use. Plenty of detail and helped us made our decision a lot easier. Clare Taylor assisted us from the beginning to the end and is a great asset to the company. Great Personable Service

Due to an error by our solicitors in not registering our land with land registry it caused issues with completing on our mortgage. We dealt with Jill Bennett who kindly entertained all of my mad cap ideas, with clear resolve and understanding. We were applying for a self build mortgage so not as straight forward as a standard mortgage. We had an eight week delay in obtaining our mortgage but throughout, any advice or help that I required - the service was prompt with clear advice. Our mortgage completed on Thursday 19/9/19 and we will look forward to applying for a standard repayment mortgage with The Newbury once the build is complete. p.s. thank you for our welcome pack - it' s much apprecaited. Options discussed was clear and concise

Professional and friendly staff

I've Had my mortgage with Newbury Building Society for 5yrs and I have just continued this service, as the %rate was good and I've always received excellent customer service and prompt delivery of information required. Re-mortgaging two Buy-to Let nnortgages

Newbury Building Society exemplify everything that is great about using a local company. The people who helped me were just amazing from the initial conversation all the way through to an excruciatingly difficult completion. I would particularly like to mention the following Newbury Building Society members of staff. Justine Ransom, Mortgage & Savings Adviser at the Wokingham branch for her initial help and assistance with completing the application forms. Then at the Head office mortgage department, Charlotte Courtenay, Mortgage Underwriting Team Leader and Hannah Augur, Mortgage Underwriting Assistant. Hannah spent many hours on the phone going back and forth with my previous lender who were less than helpful.
