Great newbury

Great service and an excellent deal

We required a mortgage to cover a property that is a combination of living accommodation and holiday let. Very few lenders were interested in even letting us discuss our situation with them! Newbury were and made a fair proposal which we accepted. Furthermore, without prompting, 3 years on they contacted us to propose a better mortgage (lower payments) which we progressed. Good products, hassle free mortgage

The mortgage was very easy to set up, helpful staff gave a number of options, the paperwork was straightforward and easy to understand. When I have needed to contact the Building Society you immediately get through to a knowledgeable member of staff who can help, or a call is returned very quickly if the answer is not immediately available. Mortgages Simply Professionally

Having tried to obtain a mortgage from Banks, Mortgage Advisors and Building Society's for two months, with the outcome of "Computer say's No," No response for weeks and Costs up to 3x over normal. I approach Newbury Building Society in Wokingham, I met with a very professional finance manager at 2.00pm, providing full documented evidence of my mortgage requirement. I returned home, then received a call at 2.50pm from the same person confirming that my mortgage had been approved subject to Terms and Conditions. I was delighted with the service provided and the sound business basis that the mortgage was provided. It confirms that the Financial Service Sector can operate profitably and efficiently in a face to face environment, if their directors have the people skills and the will to do so. Friendly, helpfull and responsive

Self Build Mortgage

I applied to Newbury Building Society for a Self Build Mortgage to build my own home having tried a number of high street competitors who failed to understand the requirement. Newbury understood the requirement and were flexible in the mortgage schedule to support the different phases of the build. They also adjusted my mortgage on completion of the build to a more advantageous product. A very personal and professional service. Reviewed on: 5th January 2018

Clear and what we wanted

We have found dealing with Newbury to be very satisfactory. Their paperwork is clear and to the point, they are excellent when dealing over the phone and their products and customer service is first class! In the modern age where everything is geared around customer service but actually the service has little to do with what the customer needs or whats, Newbury are refreshingly open minded and to the point.
